The University of Nairobi Vice Chancellor, Prof. Peter Mbithi on October 22, 2016, chaired a meeting at Kisumu Campus to review the Commission for University Education (CUE) Technical Inspection preparations. The meeting received reports on the review of programme documents, progress in completion of the Campus Complex and installation of ICT and Library facilities.
It emerged that the Campus was ready for the inspection and the VC urged responsible members to tighten the loose ends to make sure that every aspect is in order. He assured the meeting that he will, with the support of the Council and University Management Board, do everything to make sure that University of Nairobi Kisumu Campus stands tall and becomes the major pillar in university education in the Nyanza and Western regions. He urged members to dedicate themselves fully to their duties as stated in the University Core Values.
After the meeting, the VC toured the Kisumu Complex, taking a keen interest in what is expected to be done in preparation for the CUE Technical Inspection.
