Benchmarking visit from University of Eastern Africa, Baraton

On 5th February 2024, in actualizing the mission statement of the University of Nairobi, which is to provide quality university education and training and to embody the aspirations of the Kenyan people and the global community through creation, preservation, integration, transmission and utilization of knowledge, the office of the Associate Dean, Kisumu Campus was honoured when a team from University of Eastern Africa, Baraton paid a courtesy call and also benchmarked with the Faculty of Law, Kisumu Campus in preparation to rolling out a progrmme in Bachelor of Laws.

Benchmarking

The team was headed by their Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), Dr. Paul Wahonya. Besides the benchmarking they further agreed to enhance collaboration and networking between staff and students from the two institutions.

The team was received by Prof. Charles Rambo, Associate Dean, Kisumu Campus, Mr. P.D. Onyango and Michael Okelloh, (Faculty of Law, Kisumu Campus), Dr. Mercy Florah, (Ag, Coordinator, Faculty of Business and Management Science) Section Heads: Mrs. Jane Opiyo (Campus Librarian), Ms. Lumumba, (ICT) Mr. K. Tarno, (Facility) and Mr. P. Olang’o, (Security). 

Accompanying the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), University of Eastern Africa, Baraton were the following: Dr. Duncan Mumbo (Chaplain), Mr. Titus Misoi (Architect), Prof. Moses Kibirango (Quality Assurance), P. Mwendambio, (Ag. Dean of School of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences), Dr. L. Bisogho (Head of the Department of Theology and Religious studies), Dr. Meshack Misoi, (OdeL Director).
