Informal Workers Organization & Social Protection (SPIWORK) project - Kisumu Policy Dialogue

The University of Nairobi, Kisumu Campus today hosted the institute for Development studies (IDS), and informal worker’s organization and social protection(SPIWORK) project on social protection and informal economy research project for the period 2017-2020 being implemented by the IDS in collaboration with Roskilde University in Denmark and Mzumbe University in Tanzania.

The overall aim of this project is to understand whether belonging to association or groups facilitates informal workers' enrolment in social protection programes(both formal and informal), and whether this enhances their access to social protection benefits including, those that relate to their work conditions
