A BIG thank you to all who made the Career Expo day at Aga Khan Sports grounds on Friday, May 30, 2025 a success 🙌
The team spirit and selflessness were just but amazing! The pupils, teachers, parents, and other attendees had a chance to interact one on one with our faculty led by Mwalimu Gerald Ondiek. Technical and administrative staff effortlessly took those who visited UoN booth through our programmes and services offered at UoN Kisumu Campus. The university was privileged to be offered an opportunity to pitch for our rich library collection ably elucidated by Jane Opiyo. The climax was a key note address on Competence Based Education career pathways by BD Njuguna. Trust me, a lasting impression in the lives of the pupils and visitors to our booth was implanted through goodies generously given out by Lorna Olali. Security was tight as hawk- eyed Abraham Too and his able assistant Oganda left nothing to chance. Connectivity was stable, thanks to one Raphael Opiyo and a dedicated attachee Lennox Jobita. UoN's practical entrepreneurial bit was showcased by Samuel from UNES Bookstore. The structural integrity of the booth and decor was ensured by Radiek, Waweru, Ojiambo, and an outsourced service provider. Mobility was nyweeeeeee with pilot Anari taking off and taxing the immaculate branded campus Van with mesmerising moves in and out of the venue. Our students were not left behind, the Campus Governor, Josephine Anyango, easily interacted with the pupils and their parents. Our back office crew led by the Associate Dean, Prof. Rambo assisted by Elizabeth Achieng and Alex George ensured we were adequately resourced. At the end of the day, the City of Kisumu residents and its environs saw and felt the University of Nairobi in Kisumu. The community evidently was yearning for more! For those who missed due to duty exigencies and othercreasons let's purpose for the next brand positioning gig.
