Kisumu Campus Registrar, BD Njuguna, represented the University of Nairobi, which seats in the 14 member City's Land Board in the forum that brought together individual. corporate and organizational land owners in Kisumu City. The university has a great role to play in land use and optimization in terms of research & data analysis; education & training; collaborations & partnerships; and policy advocacy. The Governor, Prof Anyang Nyongo, announced a 50% waiver on land rates penalties and interest to the defaulters.
