2851 graduate at virtual graduation ceremony

A record 2,851 graduands were conferred degrees and awarded diplomas by the Chancellor, Dr. Vijoo Rattansi at the 63rd Graduation Ceremony on September 25, 2020 held at the Great Court.

The graduates who followed the ceremony virtually consisted of 54 Doctor of Philosophy Degree Awards (PhDs), 370 Master Degree Awards, 15 Postgraduate Diploma Awards, 2045 Bachelor Degree Awards and 367 Diploma Awards.

Kenyan & Ugandan lawyers discuss environmental protection

The School of Law has officially kick-started a capacity building workshop for Kenyan and Ugandan Lawyers on protecting the environment and biodiversity in upstream mining, oil and gas.

The workshop organized in collaboration with Makerere University, African Development Bank African Natural Resources Centre and the African Legal Support Facility is expected to run from September 14 to 19, 2020 exclusively online via zoom.

VC welcomes over 10,000 new students

The University of Nairobi has welcomed over 10,000 new students for the Academic Year 2020/21.

The new students have been admitted to the six UoN Colleges and the ODeL Campus. This admission process is an important milestone in the history of the University of Nairobi as it is the first time that the institution has conducted end to end academic processes using online platforms.

 

63rd Graduation Ceremony

The University of Nairobi wishes to inform all students from the Colleges Of Agriculture & Veterinary Sciences, Architecture & Engineering, Biological & Physical Sciences, Education & External Studies and ODeL Campus who qualified for the award of various degrees and diplomas at the end of last academic year (2019/2020) and members of the public, that the 63rd Graduation Ceremony will be held VIRTUALLY on Friday, September 25, 2020 commencing at 8.00 a.m. at the Great Court.

September 2020 Orientation for New Students to be held Online

The University of Nairobi will for the first time in history conduct orientation for first year students exclusively online due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The orientation to be held from 31st August -4th September 2020 will see new students acquainted with what life is like in campus.  

The September intake is an important time for many young students transitioning from high school to university where they will not only acquire specialized education but get to learn how to live independently away from parents and guardians.

Admission Information

The Academic Year 2020/2021 will commence on Monday 31 August 2020 and the first thing you need is your letter of Admission.  If you do not have your letter of admission, please write an email to admissions@uonbi.ac.ke with details of your name, programme to which you have been admitted to and KCSE Index Number..

Orientation, registration, classes and examination will all be exclusively be conducted online via various virtual platforms.
